Waikoloa is simply the best of the Big Island of Hawaii

Waikoloa VillageWaikoloa begins with the cool highlands of Hawaii's ranch country on the Big Island of Hawaii, a great and varied land...gifted with natural beauty, enriched by the life and lore of ancient Polynesia. Waikoloa stretches over the lower slopes of Mauna Kea to the sun-drenched shores of the Pacific Ocean. Waikoloa has grown exponentially since 1990. Back then about 2500 residents lived in the village, fast forward to 2011 and there are more than 7000 residents living in the area. Our population growth is due not only in part to the near perfect year round weather (average 82-85°) but also for unlimited recreational opportunities. A blend of people of all ages and mixed ethnic backgrounds live in Waikoloa, from the young newlyweds just starting out or to the old timers who has watched the growth of Waikoloa and its surrounding areas.

In Waikoloa Village you can explore wide open spaces on horseback, view spectacular night skies, golf on an 18-hole Robert Trent Jones Jr. golf course, built against a back drop of sun, sea and mountains. The Village itself is comprised of its own post office (zip code 96738), a full service supermarket, medical and dental facilities, video and beach gear rental shop, two banks, a gas station and mini mart, a public school (grades K-8), tennis courts, swimming pool, several churches, 3 public parks and much more.

Waikoloa Beach ResortWithin 10 minutes of Waikoloa Village you will find the Waikoloa Beach Resort, and the majestic Anaeho’omalu Bay, where golden sand abounds, and turtles swim among the colorful reef fish. A family friendly beach it is a place to relax, swim, sail, snorkel, or skin dive. A few miles offshore is some of the world's best deep sea fishing where fisherman have come halfway around the world to try these waters. Whales migrate every year from December to April, a perfect time to watch them frolic in the crystal blue water.

The Waikoloa Beach Resort also includes the Hilton Waikoloa Village, the Marriot Resort and Spa and the Kings' Shops and Queens’ Marketplace where several fine restaurants including Macaroni Grill, Sansei Seafood and Sushi Bar, Roy’s Restaurant, Merriman’s and the new Eddie Aikau Restaurant and Museum. Locals and visitors alike enjoy browsing through a variety of shops, meeting up with friends and family at the Queens' Marketplace food court, and watching daily entertainment. Two signature 18-hole golf courses, the Waikoloa Beach and Kings' Golf Course are also located on the resort.
